Adaptive Optics for Extremely Large Telescopes 8

General Description

Adaptive optics is one of the major challenges that future extremely large telescopes (ELTs) face.

It is essential for them to reach their scientific goals regarding accuracy and sensitivity. Therefore, it is crucial for the entire scientific community working on the topic to gather and share ideas about the latest advances in this field.

This is achieved through the biannual Adaptive Optics for Extremely Large Telescopes (AO4ELT) conference, which has been held every two years since 2009.

The 8th edition of AO4ELT will be held in 2025 in Viña del Mar, Chile, from October 27th to 31st.
